Menorquina crafts
Although Menorca is not to the tourist margin, it emphasizes mainly by his own and characteristic artisan product elaboration, mainly of cheeses and footwear.
The tradition of the crafts stays lives in the oldest hands of Menorca than they strive to perpetuate an almost lost tradition. At the imitation jewellery and the footwear mechanization arrived to them and, although still there is part of the process in his elaboration by hand, the machines also make great part of the product. Although many of artisan products no longer are used for the destiny with which they were created, they continue waking up great attention between the tourists by his effective designs, to survive the passage of time, and mainly, for being elaborated by hand.
Although there are factories specialized for each type of crafts, and the premises where to find products of particular way, its place of more outstanding exhibition, for being easier to locate, is in the swap-meets.
