 SAN ANTONIO: He is celebrated the 17 of January, in Ciutadella, although it is the celebration of all the island. The arrival to the island of the troops of the king is commemorated catalano-Aragonese Alfonso III the Liberal one in 1287, getting up itself thus to the crown of Aragon, and to get rid of the Muslim dominion who suffered almost 400 years ago. The celebration characterizes by the celebration of the Processó dels three tocs (Procesión of the three blows). The courtship, that presides over the riders dressed to the traditional way in frac and hat of two tips (guindola), arrives until the last door of the old wall and strikes three times with the spear of a flag in the place where he would have to be the door.

Very related to this celebration we also found in Ciutadella Celebration of the Gastronomy, the 19 of January. During this celebration oranges, dates and palm hearts (garbaions) in the Place of San Antonio are sold.
